Frequently asked questions
Does Pharaoh Stream include channels, movies or series?
No. The app does not provide any content. You need an IPTV subscription from a provider of your choice, then add it in the app (Xtream Codes login or M3U playlist URL).
Why don't I see posters, ratings or trending titles?
Artwork, ratings and trending titles come from TMDB, and IMDb / Rotten Tomatoes / Metacritic scores from OMDb. The app doesn't include API keys: enter your own free keys in Settings.
- TMDB (recommended): create a free account at themoviedb.org → Settings → API and copy your API key into Settings → TMDB.
- OMDb (optional): get a free key at omdbapi.com and paste it into Settings → OMDb.
How do I add my IPTV provider?
On first launch fill in Connect your provider (later: Settings → Servers → Add Server) with your provider's server URL, username and password, or an M3U playlist URL. Your credentials stay on your device and in your own iCloud account.
Live TV tips (Apple TV)
- Play/Pause jumps back to the previous channel; Select pauses.
- Left / Right changes channel; Down opens the channel list; Up opens audio and subtitles.
- Long-press a channel to add it to Favourite Channels.
- Hide or pin categories in Settings → Live TV → Categories.
How do I use Plex?
Turn on Settings → Plex, choose Link Plex Account, then enter the code shown at plex.tv/link and pick your server. Servers on your home network are supported.
A channel or movie won't play
Streams come from your provider. Check that your subscription is active and try another channel. Channels that repeatedly fail are hidden automatically; you can show them again in Settings → Live TV.
Is my watch history synced?
Yes. Favourites, watch progress and profiles sync across your devices through your iCloud account.
